The artist Ane Pikaza closes the Fatxada project 2019 with her proposal about ‘The Mad Lady of Arriquibar’, romantic love and sacrifices in the name of love.

I’ve always thought I wanted to be more than just one person and to live more than just one life. Perhaps that’s why I decided to do everything I liked. I studied Fine Arts and Theatre, and with the passing of time, this desire has managed to coexist within a strange balance. I’m still continuing with my training today and combine both worlds, which are sometimes very close to each other, others look on from afar, and others go hand-in-hand. This is the window from where you can look out onto my works. Let’s dream.

Ane Pikaza (Bilbo 1984). Since graduating in Fine Arts and Theatre, she has combined the world of illustration and stage arts. A multidisciplinary profile, which has enabled her to research different formats, applications and relations between illustration and parallel sectors, such as theatre and videogames. Worthy of mention among her works is the videogame ‘Alice’s Rivers’ or the visual works for the theatre company Kabia, to which we must add a longstanding history of posters for theatre and festivals, exhibitions and collaborations with magazines/journals, among others. A universe of scenes and dreams that sit us in front of ourselves. A commitment to using the oneiric as a weapon to fight realities.
