12 May New Union
A sculpture by Richard Senna created for the 2004 Seville Biennial, made from Corten steel plates like those used for building large sea-going vessels. In spite of their imposing size (10 m long, 3.6 m high and weighing 40 tons) they have a lightweight presence. It seems to be moving forward like a ship. It achieves a sliding appearance that offers new shapes depending on the perspective.
